Imo this trick is mandatory for any category. It's an approx. 4 minute time save. In Royal Edition, we route to get an additional Heliodor Bracelet from the vendor in chapter 10 to make up for the loss of the free Garnet Bracelet that you would get in the normal chapter 10.
