ALL GOOD ENDINGS SPEEDRUN

PowerFist Strategy Stats:

ST 10 - high unarmed skill PE 1 - mandatory for a skip in cathedral EN 8 - useful for passing through energy fields and combat CH 1 - not useful IN 9 - high science skill AG 10 - 9 ap are needed, so could be just 8 but 10 helps in some situations LK 1 - not useful

Traits:

One Hander or Heavy Handed - for powerfist

Skilled - perks are less useful compared to higher stats

Skills:

Lockpick(55%) - obviously for opening doors Science(73%) - needed in cathedral and military base Speech(57%) - needed for some skips

Unarmed(85%) - unskilled but high from ST and AG

Perks: Bonus HtH Damage lvl 4 - higher damage with powerfist

Starting Cave

There are two possible ways to exit the cave. The first is to initiate the combat before the first rat aggroes and use combat bug to skip the three rats. Then exit the combat in the safe area.

Second method is to let each rat attack you and move ahead exactly 9 hexes and exit the combat. It is possible that rat may move out of the way and thus save a couple of seconds.

The first way is easier and more reliable, it may be also faster if any rat actually manages to attack the character. Using the other method is a more risky strategy, but it will be faster if rat manages to move away from the character.

Cathedral

In a straight line, walking to Cathedral takes about 50 seconds, excluding random encounters. Avoiding some of the rocky areas can save about to 8 seconds. Going through Junktown is advised, because while passing through it's zone you are immune to random encounters. Same could be said about Boneyard, but it is a bit off the route.

First thing you need to do after getting to Cathedral is to get robes. Get to the second area and head to the room on the left with a small green box and pick the lock. Get super-stimpacks and apply 3 of them to the shopkeeper in the room to the right and wait 10 minutes. Collect the robe from his body and head to the door leading to the stairs. Steal the COC badge from the nearby woman and equip both the badge and the robe. Picking the door's lock is faster but with such low picklocking there is a very small chance to do it. Unlock the door with the badge and go upstairs. Get to the 4th floor (the last one) and pick the lock of the gray container in the room to the south. Collect Powerfist and Tesla armor. Now open the door to the right and speak with Morpheus. (2)(1)(2)(1)

As soon as the conversation ends you have to mash 'A' button to enter the combat mode before Master starts the dialogue. Head south and let the combat end after you use your action points. As long as you have 1 perception, you won't be attacked in the fleshy corridor. Get to the elevator on the left side that leads to floor nr 4. You need to pick two locks on your way. When you get to the floor nr 4, pick the door leading to the terminal. Use science on the terminal and as soon as you see the message about arming the warhead, enter combat and get through the door (about 15 action points are required to exit the aggro zone of the supermutants). You have to enter the combat precisely after the message appears, if you do it too early you will interrupt the animation on the science skill, if you do it too late the supermutants will kill you. Get to the floor nr 3. Now head to the elevator in the middle and unequip the robe before entering. Get to the floor nr 1. Wait till Jeremiah starts the conversation with you. (3)(3)(1)

If all goes well you will be kicked out of the building and you can exit and go straight to the Junktown.

Junktown

  • You can enter Junktown only after 6 AM.
  • You can talk to Killian only after 7 AM.

Level up and get the Bonus HtH Damage perk.Talk to Killian and end the conversation as soon as you start it. (6)

Kill the assassin - you can attack him as soon as he appears, 2-3 punches. Killian will initiate dialogue after combat ends. (3)(1)(1)

Now go to Gizmo and speak with him. (2)(3)(1)(1)(3)(2)(2)(1)

Go back to Killian. (2)(1)(1)(5)(1)(1)

Speak with Lars. (1)(1)

Now before combat begins you can enter combat mode manually, get over to Gizmo and punch him. Kill Gizmo and his bodyguard and exit Junktown. Head to Raiders Camp.

Raiders

You need to kill Garl and 8 raiders or 13 raiders. First one is faster so get to the north-east tent and punch the closest raider. Use up all your ammunition for Powerfist and then unequip it and use basic unarmed attacks. After you killed Garl and 8 raiders leave for Necropolis.

Necropolis

Go straight to canals. Go to the next section in the north-west. Then go north. In the last section climb up the ladder. Go to the middle canal, right next to the super mutant, he won't attack. Once inside you need to enter combat right before the first rat. Collect junk and go back to the surface. Talk to Harry. (2)(1)

Go to the water pump and use junk on it. Now you have to go to the crypt and take the water chip. Go to the last cell on the right and go down the ladder twice. On the first floor you need to combat bug past the two glowing ones. Go to the 3rd floor, combat bug past another two glowing ones, take the chip and go all the way back to Harry again and talk to him. (1)(1)


Military Base

And you are inside Military Base. Talk to Lieutenant. (1)(1)(1)(1)

Run away from him and go to the north-west room with computers. Use science on terminal and use it. (1)(4)(1)

Equip robes and go down to floor nr 3. Supermutant will approach you. (1)(2)(1)

Go to the elevator in north-west part of the floor. Go to the 1st floor. Exit the building. You will be approached by another supermutant. (3)(1)

If everything went right you should have the following endings:

  • Super mutants: Ending 1 (destroying Cathedral and then Mariposa Military Base)
  • Necropolis: Water pump maintained
  • Shady Sands: New California Republic
  • Junktown: Killian takes control
  • Brotherhood of Steel: Drive mutants away
  • Khans: Destroyed as a fighting force
  • Vault Dweller: Ending 2 (not killing the Vault Dweller)
