Please don’t do that, deleting obsoleted runs can mess up various things related to game statistics and WR history if you ever held a WR. Keeping every run is part of the LBs.

If you truly insist on doing this against advice, you can do so by going to the run’s page and clicking on the 3 dots in the top right corner where you’ll find “edit run” and “delete run”.

Define interface, do you mean stream overlays and graphics? (Streamers make those themselves or pay someone to make them). Do you mean a timer? (Most people use LiveSplit).

OBS has a massive amount of tutorials online, I’d recommend watching them and checking those out as they’ll answer a lot of your questions regarding it. If you have specific questions, you can try posting them in the Streaming forum here and I’m sure people will help you. But for basic stuff the online tutorials are the best.

If the mod is inactive, you should first try to contact them via their social media links. However, the mod for that game went rogue and abandoned the site without any intention of coming back, so you’ll probably need to post here https://www.speedrun.com/The_Site/thread/63nr7 to request to become mod.

Also, requiring a video is generally a community by community decision, however most will probably say that having a WR without a video is a pretty bad thing as nobody can verify you actually did it (faking splits is extremely simple). My personal opinion is that without a video, you didn’t actually do the run so I would work on recording your runs.

Sending an email to twitch won’t do you any good. Twitch and this site aren’t related in any way, shape or form - issues between the two sites are not the same nor related. As long as you are actually live, twitch is working as expected and correctly.

That being said, I know you need to have a PB in the game you’re streaming to show up here on the site. Maybe that could be the issue.

Yes, if you have region free channels/discs set, then you can install the PAL version. However I don’t see a reason to and given that it will run at a different speed you may find it has horribly bad audio among other problems on your TV.

So go find it.

Sharing BIOS images, ROMs, etc is forbidden here.

I answered in your thread in the main forum https://www.speedrun.com/Speedrunning/thread/nkl41/1#f2zxo

Yes, it’s allowed, but don’t bother. Just homebrew your Wii and install the VC games as WADs. The OOT discord has resources on how to do this.

Your best option is to softmod your Wii to install homebrew and install OOT as a WAD.

The community has guides on how to do this. For what it’s worth, the GC version isn’t great to run on, it has really slow resets among other things, but it is allowed.

If your only approach to this hobby is “get lots of WRs” then you’re going to burn out so fast. There’s so much more to this hobby than “getting your stripes” or getting a WR. Run games you enjoy or run games that are interesting to you. Running boring games or random, simulation games (which probably wouldn’t even be accepted on the site) just to claim a WR is an easy way to get bored or burnt out on this.

WR is a fine goal to have, but making it your sole priority or thinking it’s the most important things is a viewpoint that’s probably not good to have. That being said, if you want to run a game nobody has done before because it’s interesting to you and you want to optimize it and build a community around it, then go for it because every game has to start somewhere.

You need to either point a camera at the DS as you play or spend a few hundred dollars to get your DS modded to have a capture board so you can capture like any other console.

Ban evading, and is now targeting other runners from China

Idk ask the mods of the games you want to use it for. Something like that has the potential of being inaccurate so you’ll need to check with any mods (and possibly provide some testing you do to show it can be comparable to using Windows).

It’s not the spam (although I could easily see people mass reporting the same run out of boredom) so much as the trolling. Imagine how many people would hit that button “for the memes” or because they were annoyed at being beat. You may not think that would be common, but people have done crazier things on this site.

While it might be used legitimately, it has a lot of potential for abuse. I still think social links are the best way to go about it because it’s direct and easy. Plus, not as many runs are cheated as people might think, so the button would do more harm than the rare case it’s used to report an actually cheated run. More likely than not people will wind up hitting it because “something looks weird” instead of having concrete proof.

It’s kinda the same reason a “report user” button has been iffy - it would be abused and general problems are better reported directly to a full mod.

If you think anyone is abusing their power as a mod or if anyone is being disruptive or cheating, report them to the full mods.

This hobby and site have thousands of people all over the world engaging in it every day. You’re going to find bad seeds every now and then.

EDIT: Please don’t randomly delete your OP, now this thread is pointless and confusing.

That could also be abused and spammed excessively. If you need to contact a moderator, use their social links, it’s what they’re there for.

When requesting a game, submit a full run first if possible, then figure out the ILs after the fact. Having a full run is much better for game approval purposes.

Good luck and welcome.

The only issue with that is obsolete runs. It can be hard to see older runs if they’ve mostly been obsoleted (unless the filter included obsolete runs but that might get cumbersome and large very fast).

Your best bet is to go to the WR history for a category, look at the oldest runs there and then go check them out. It won’t show every old run, but it should give a nice general trend as games discovered new tricks or routes.
