Well I think that would be the worst resolution ever, why don't you think about allowing everyone to choose their versions of the game? It's easier, simple and better.
So the Hellfire run should be unbeatable due rules?
There is a glitch that has been know long ago by all people on the leaderboard, and UhTrance did it in his Hellfire run, but because his run was made before the new rules, now his WR could be unbeatable due the new rules because no one can play his version.
But anyways, I want to know if I upload a wr with the Europe version but because there is no tracker, it will be rejected?
Emulator, but what distinct advantages it has over console?
But can I use another version besides JPN? Or what happens if some plays Europe version on a ps2? It will be allowed because you can't put a tracker? And is it unfair for people who use emulators? Do I require to have a big saving glitch to use one of those versions?
Well people can cheat on a ps2 really easy and there is not a tracker for a ps2 (and I think I can use any version of the game, cus the rules don't specify anything), and I don't see the tracker could be useful on offline runs.
Well can I play a different version or not? And why is there a tracker? Just wanna get anwsered you know.
But why is there an issue? And another question, why is even a tracker to being with?
UhTrance has his offline runs on another version besides JPN, and there is a maybe "glitches" that are not in the JPN version, and I think no one should be prohibited from playing a faster version of a game.
I meant for offline.
I ask because the rules says you must have a tracker, but there is no tracker available besides for the JPN version.
Actually a 100% category is not necessary, because you only will add things like doing all the challenge in the obelisk, opening all chests and picking up all hidden items (these ones will disappear in your next run on the same profile after you pick them, so you can't have all the health and mana upgrades in a new run). And because of that I also think is not necessary doing a NG+ run only because you have all upgrade of health and mana, which actually only helps having the mana upgrades. This things make so little affect in gameplay that makes no difference within these runs, it's not like you have to enter a different level or path to achieve something that isn't necessary for the history; all chests and hidden items can be found doing the normal playthrough because it's a pretty linear game, that's my opinion ay.
Could you make a video showing it? It would be really cool!
Edit: I replied to your post you made. Don't make any videos lol
It's a glitch that may happen when you are performing the dialogue glitch with the worm boss and quit to the menu while the cutscene is still going, it may happen that when you start a new game, all enemies will not attack the player, that's why it's forbidden, you have to start a previous game to make it work.
Thanks for the answer.
I saw a thread here saying that save states for emulator are allowed because you can perform soft reset on ps2, but you mean the soft reset that OPL or Hdloader has to mentain the same memory, so one strat will always be the same? Because if you try to do that with a disc, you won't be able to, or am I missing something?
