Hello mods,
I’d like to request a new category for Basket Random called Out%, where the goal is to get the ball out of bounds as quickly as possible after the match starts.
Basic Rules:
Timer starts on match start.
Timer ends when the ball goes out of bounds.
Runs will be completed in 1p mode.
Real-time runs only.
This category adds a unique experience being that all other categories involve finishing a match. I have already started trying it out and come up with some strategies.
Thanks for considering!

Sorry for late response I gotta get more active. I'm just not sure if there's a lot of room for optimization in a run like this. The runs would be so short and repetitive. Thoughts?
All good! Makes sense, just thought it’d be a fun little side thing. No worries if it’s not a fit.
Hey again,
One last idea, how about a Gauntlet category?
To complete the run, you’d need to:
Win a round as Player 1
Lose a round as Player 1
Get the ball out of bounds as Player 1
Then win a full match as Player 2
All in one go, no resets between. It’s a more skill-based challenge with less reliance on RNG, since it forces players to adapt to different situations instead of just going for the perfect RNG, because getting perfect RNG through the whole run is near impossible. It rewards consistency and creativity.
Totally understand if it's not the direction you want to take things, just figured I'd suggest something a little more varied. Appreciate you considering it!
That would actually be cool. Only thing we really have to figure out is if the time switching between gamemodes should be included in the final time.
Yeah, I was thinking about that. I think timing should start on the first round start and end when the final objective is reached. So any menuing/switching between modes is part of the run. That way it keeps things continuous and adds a bit of routing/efficiency to the run.
I'm back. I'm gonna add the category now, but we could make the category more skillbased if we remove the losing against cpu part.
Yeah, maybe we separate into with loss and without, or just remove the loss entirely.
