Wrong Warp to Consecrated Snowfields (from Mountaintop)

Hello there, casual here.

I just accidentally got the skip in the title. I'm quite new to ER and haven't watched any runs yet so, if this is known. sorry for the spam. If not, I figured it could be useful in an all remembrances (or all great runes, if such a category comes into existence at some point) so I thought I'd mention it here.

The skip in question is a wrong warp from early Mountaintop of the Giants to the inside of Consecrated Snowfield, bypassing the lift and medallions entirely. Wasn't recording, unfortunately but things should sound mostly straightforward/familiar?

This happened while playing 1.09.1 on PC (Linux specifically, but I don't think this will make a difference given similar glitches).

I was doing the Juno Hoslow assassination quest. Managed to take him down, got the Target Eliminated prompt. "MIssion accomplished. Returning to your world" aaaand the game froze on me. I had to force quit it and was concerned I might miss out on the rewards because, having not actually returned, the gear hadn't been placed in my inventory yet.

Once I loaded the game back up I spawned in what I assume is some sort of default position, way up in the sky. Got my items, which was reassuring, but immediately fell to my death. Was thinking it wasn't any big issue, then, ready to move on with my life when I was offered the choice to respawn at a Stake of Marika. Intrigued, I picked that and was placed in the area with the albinaurics on the way to the Minor Erdtree with the two avatars.

From there I just rode to where I knew there was a sire of grace and there I was. Consecrated Snowfield, I can warp, move around all as usual. Didn't go anywhere near Castle Sol. My bloodstain DID end up somewhere out of bounds in a weird place, maybe at the top left corner of the world map. Oh well.

This is very reminiscent of other Wrong Warps in the Souls Series so I wouldn't be totally surprised if it's known but thought I'd share it in case it's not.

Hey, yes, you seem to have performed a typical Force Quit Wrong Warp. Thanks for taking the time to write this up regardless!
