Hello everyone,
I'm hoping to get some tips on how maliketh's second phase works in any%. All the top runs i've seen have been able to get him to do the fast spinning attack allowing quick kill after the initial 3 stomps. But I could rarely get him to do that consistently. Instead, he jumps away constantly. Is there any AI manipulation that I'm missing? ie. the distantce you back off at the beginning?.

I tried asking in speedsouls discord but no one seems to know or at least articulate.

I've found it consistent when you have not taken a single hit through phase 1

IRRC it's about the distance you get from him and how long you wait before you start moving again to get closer.
