So I have watched several videos in learning this game, I noticed timers starting at -8.8, -8.75, -8.6, and then the guide says -9.6

So I think my question somewhat asks itself: just what happened to Jimmy Hoffa?

Also, what should I use for a time offset?

Thank you.

I use -9 but it doesn't matter really. You just have to know that when it's +0, you start

No I know this, I just am wondering what the length of time is from when you press start to when you gain control. I don't think this varies from start to start, the best I have seen seems to be -8.75. I was just wondering if someone had a confirmed amount of time to use for an offset.

I personally do 8.80.

But if you think about it, you don't start your timer perfectly, with a +/-0.2s mistake so it really doesn't matter that much.

8.75 seems to work just fine for me, I mean I have to adjust anyway when I time the run, I just wanted something that was as close as possible from start input to control gain. Although it does seem that 8.80 to 8.90 may actually closer, as my time seems to be between -0.05 and 0.15 off when I have retimed my PBs for submission.
