Disney Infinity 1.0 Playset Movement Optimization
Updated 10 years ago by Jak8

Okay, so I noticed that nobody has been speedrunning the play sets from 1.0 (Monster's University, Incredibles, Cars, Lone Ranger, Pirates, or Toy Story), so I have decided to fix that by helping out with giving you the best way to optimize your movement. Now, for Incredibles, obviously you can use Dash to go fast for the most part, but for the other playsets and/or characters, how do you move optimally? The answer is: dodging. A lot. Granted, only with certain characters, but let me explain. So, some characters (i.e. Dash, Mike, Randy, Jack Sparrow, Woody, and Jessie to name a few) can move faster 90% of the time if you are dodging with them (and believe me NOBODY wants to see a lot of the slow running in the game). However, certain other characters cannot go faster if dodging, unfortunately (i.e. Mrs. Incredible and Violet to name a couple). Then there are certain characters that only get a slight boost from dodging a lot (i.e. Mr. Incredible, Syndrome, Sulley, Buzz, Lone Ranger, and Tonto to name a few). So basically the main characters I know you shouldn't use (at least a lot) are Mrs. Incredible and Violet. And that's how to move optimally in play sets. (EXCEPTION: I mentioned how Dash can 90% of the time move faster with dodging, but once you can unlock his running ability, you don't need to dodge with Dash anymore, you can just run (or use the hover board or helicopter when you purchase them).)
