WR Issues with 3.7.0 Mid-Chapter update

Hey, I was wondering if the 3.7.0 Mid Chapter update would change anything. The reason I bring this up is that in the past, Great Skill Checks rewarded 2% bonus progression. With this new update, Great Skill Checks on generators now only award 1% bonus progression. It seems this would make past WR's involving gens (tutorial%, escape%, etc) impossible or nearly impossible to obtain. Also, with the toolboxes nerf I do not think the SWF Escape % is beatable.

As chapters come new stuff rolls out and it's beyond our control. I understand how this can be annoying and irritating. But rest assured those records are beatable and if our stats show they cannot be beat we will change our rules accordingly. Thanks you for bringing it up :)

Not really, the toolbox nerf a while back did more to kill those then 1% ever will

If we could roll back our version we would gladly do that. We might push the categories to a legacy. So before this new chapter and open a new board. It's in discussion, but we need more feedback.

I personally agree with the opening statement. You could say im a bit biased as I do know OP but we have both played since beta. With the changes to skillchecks in the tutorial runs for example say you get 3 perfect skillchecks old patch. that would be 6% bonus completion to the current 3% now, and even i believe before being hidden the number 1 combo run hit 2 greats and a regular. the greats on that still gave more % than the full 3 perfects would give now. On top of that the changes recently to generator speeds along with the changes of efficiency with multiple people and tool boxes being changed. I believe that the SWF Escape% is going to require perfect gameplay, and maybe not even then to possibly get beaten. Again that one is an opinion and might need tested by like getting 5 people in KYF and seeing if its even beatable with no killer interuptions.

Try running a full KYF on the gunslinger map and see how fast you can do it. We don't have a full crew to do testing, but if we can get data on that map then we might change the rules for that category, also tweak some others if we get data for some maps.

Still planning on doing this we just have always been like a single player short of attempting it. We will probaby do it when we go for the Mori% KYF as well.

Let us know about the time, and other factors on that map. So we can work the rules and categories out.

Hello, i was talking to LtNakuu about the Instant Heal change and he linked me to this. My idea to fixing this Problem.

Make a list for each update.

  • What do you mean by that ? A: If there would be a list for each big update so, 1.X, 2.X, 3.X, 4.X etc, where would more clear rules, also, once the patch is over, the records stand and can't be changed anymore until an official way to play an older version comes.

  • How would that help for Mid-Chapter Updates ? A: If a big Mid-Chapter update comes, the list lets say "3.X" would be updates to the new Rules, since we can't influence the patches. If a run goes invaild, then thats not our vault, thats the fault of the game evolving. This is not a perfect way to fix it.

  • Is this the best way to fix our list problem ? A: Sadly, no. Until there is an official way, to play older version of the game or with an emulated server.
