By placing various items on the ground in the statue puzzle room, you can reduce the duration of the puzzle. Doing what I do is not yet optimal, but hopefully you get the idea. The combo that I feel works the best is:

#1. Trapdoor pole at the low part of the puzzle. #2. Aid Kit in the middle. #3. Shotgun and Hunting rifle at the top
