Looking at the position of the large encounter to the right of Link before entering Parapa Cave directly indicates which pattern will spawn after Parapa Cave, provided clean movement during cave traversal.

Tutorial - Reverse Bubble Skip - Spreadsheet showing frame-by-frame details

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1H2mTBClB4qRdBKSX4NpnqkpKuIEQhKMMXkId9YOqV04

Note that all variations that enter Parapa Cave on the specified frames should be identical for all runs through "Bubble Skip Pattern" column. How a runner stands during that encounter affects all subsequent patterns/movements. The notes in the spreadsheet detail the unique choices for reverse bubble skip showcased in the video "Tutorial - Reverse Bubble Skip (part 5) - Gameplay from Start, 10 variations" https://www.speedrun.com/zelda_ii_the_adventure_of_link/guide/3bozf

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O4_-Qqh5iPE

Shows Magic Cave combat to achieve 10 variations in increasing frame order. All variations start at file select and proceed through P1 entry to show differences in timing. Video description has timestamps for each variation.

Tutorial - Simpol's Any% Deathless

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHbbeA88tjg

Video - showcasing overworld path has no effect on RNG

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jp4yOd4OHsM

Shows 6 different overworld walks out of Magic Cave to Parapa Cave, through P1 entry with reverse bubble skip. Different walks exiting Magic Cave on the same frame produces the same spawn patterns exactly.

Different overworld walks *DOES* effect lag, but RNG does not advance during lag frames so it only matters for RTA timer, it doesn't affect in-game elements.
