Based on my 494 hours of experience playing this game, I would like to propose merging the PC/Console speedrun leaderboards for discussion and decision-making by mod teams and community players. The specific reasons are as follows:

Low competitiveness. As a remake of White Day (2001), this game has low competitiveness. The core factors affecting IGT time are the main character's running operation, button control proficiency, and understanding of AI pursuit patterns and game mechanics. Once these core skills are mastered, regardless of whether it's PC or console platforms, it's usually possible to break PB or WR scores in a single attempt.

Unified and merged timing rules reduce the review burden on mod teams. The in-game IGT timing mechanism has unique characteristics: when a player dies/exits from the main menu to retry a checkpoint, the IGT time automatically rolls back to the previous checkpoint. High-spec computers or the use of frame rate patches can provide a significant time advantage (for example, in the Death% category, 60FPS theoretically achieves a maximum time of 1:56, while 260FPS can break through to 1:54). Therefore, the above behaviors are explicitly prohibited by the rules. Mod teams can use software like Retimer to detect the in-game real-time frame rate frame by frame to ensure fairness.

Identical Game Content Across Platforms, Each Has Its Own Advantages and Disadvantages: The game content and exploitable glitch mechanisms are identical on both PC and Console platforms, such as the gatekeeper glitch in the new building and the control room glitch in the auditorium. Although the console version loads and turns slower than the PC version, loading time is not included in the final score (see community test videos for details). Furthermore, the PC version does not offer an absolute advantage in controls; frequent practice of rapidly alternating between the left and right mouse buttons is required to quickly collect items. Accidentally pausing the game on the PC version can disrupt the rhythm and waste time (the PC version defaults to right-click pausing and cannot be changed). The PC platform also supports gamepad input, providing the same experience as the console version.

The community is currently experiencing low activity. The White Day series may not be a popular and highly competitive speed game, and the community may remain inactive for a long time. Merging the rankings would optimize the cleanliness of the leaderboards and better suit the current community environment. However, we will still retain tags for platforms like PS4 (PC/Console) and reserve space for adding new categories in the future. Due to my upcoming commitment to work and life, I may consider resigning from my temporary moderator position and no longer participating in community activities and speed challenges. The above is merely my personal suggestion based on practical experience. Thank you for your patience in reading.
