This run took place shortly after I discovered the sleeper hold strategy, where we used a standing submission rather than submitting a downed opponent. I went on to use this strategy in several categories, capturing the world record in each one as we progressed. This run was particularly notable because our 12:52 was the first time ever recorded under 14 minutes, as well as the first time under 13 minutes.
Megamatt79 has since discovered and deployed his "Kanyon's Corner" strategy, which in turn has blown this old strategy completely out of the water.
This run was played on an emulator. I'm fairly confident it was Project64 v2.3.2, although I didn't record the version at the time.
