when to start/stop the timer is stated in the category rules, for a story IL (directly quoting the rules here), Time starts when you press to skip the cutscene before entering the level, or when the cutscene ends. Time ends when your game HUD disappears at the end of the level.

FYI, using the english voices is faster due to the "defeat" and "selected" voice lines being quicker, both of which need to play out entirely before you can continue. also arle's "selected" voice line is faster than ringo's, so it would be faster to have your skill battle team lead with arle

doing this would definitely be in a grey area between the existing input method subcategories, if i were to do this i would get the slightly better movement lines of a controller and the much faster sticker movement of keyboard and mouse.

am i allowed to do this or am i limited to 1 input device per run? and if this was allowed, would it still be under the 'keyboard and mouse' subcategory?

i saw this run in my notifications saying something like "your 2:33 5-3 story IL has been beaten by flup, their time is 1:57" and i completely forgot that i even did a run of this IL...
