Pretty much as the title says. A while back, a lot of user profiles became inundated with orphaned runs (be it due to a leaderboard categorisation change, variable change etc.). These runs clutter up user profiles. While deleting the runs would of course be an option, and most of the time the user's pb run will have been relocated to a more appropriate section of the boards, so they will still remain on their profile, for archival purposes it would obviously be preferable to not have to go through and delete a lot of obsolete "orphaned" runs. A button in the user settings to hide orphaned runs seems like an extremely easy fix to this clutter issue while maintaining archives of old obsolete runs/categories. Yes I am aware this has been mentioned in the suggestions before but I feel like it was never addressed or seen by the right people at sr.com, I have only seen agreement from other speedrunners about this issue, a response would be appreciated.
I have just retimed the top 2 runs for the short campaign and resubmitted their times accordingly, please make sure you are timing the runs appropriately.
So recently some forms of RNG manipulation were found in Forbidden Memories, meaning that we can now predict some drops on save files that were activated on specific frames, for example starting a duel on Heishin on the 640th frame and doing certain things in the duel to manipulate getting a Meteor B. Dragon drop. (explained better in this: https://gist.github.com/anonymous/542a280f999d3f7bece2a0fe3569d474 )
This forum post is for the community to give their opinions on seperating the categories. The sort of things that are encouraged to be discussed are firstly should we keep the runs that are currently on the Any% NCD leaderboard ( http://imgur.com/a/dZnvR ) under another category name? What should that category be called? Legacy%? Should it be misc? Add anything else you want to discuss to your response.
I think it's right to give my own opinion. Though I'm not really that keen on having another category, I think the runs should be kept on the leaderboard. I see 2 things we can do:
-
Keep the runs on the Any% NCD leaderboard with or without an option to tell if the run had intentionally used RNG Manip to manipulate drops received or what your opponent would play against you (much like what we have on NG+ to signify if you have used pocketstation).
-
Make a category (with a better name than "legacy%") and put it under misc. categories. On this category we can put all the old runs and people can still submit new runs for the category.
Discuss what you think in the replies.

I am very DISAPPOINTED in the recent actions of the playforia community. I have recently had a run removed for a very arbitrary reason. First let's have a look at the rules:
"Timing starts when the 2nd player joins the lobby. Timing ends when both balls enter the hole in the 10th track.
Set the number of tracks to "10", the track type to "only hole-in-one", when ball goes in water to "back to start" and ball collision "on".
Skipping tracks is banned."
Me and F1 followed every rule... The rules do not state that stroking out is banned or that your stroke out limit has to be 20. It just says 'Skipping tracks is banned' which we didn't do. Please verify our run now.
