Switch version is the same as NES version, just unable to use savestates/rewind for a valid speedrun.
Thanks for the question. Yes, you must use the NES version of the game for the No Up+A categories. You are allowed to use hardware or emulator to play. I would avoid flash versions and use something like Mesen. You can use OBS to record emulator or capture card gameplay. Just submit a run with the video linked. You can also point a camera! I recommend getting a timer like LiveSplit to put on your OBS layout for timing purposes. Have fun!
I would disagree on both points.
Both good and bad endings can exist at the same time. While it is unfortunate that you don't really have control over the final mini-game, it is part of the game. Bad ending category was added to accommodate runs that don't beat the game with the good ending, merging those does not make sense to me, since the end in different results.
Any%/Beat the Game should remain the main category. It would be odd to me to have a limiting factor on the main category. Accessibility is a questionable term, I was able to beat the game without an issue doing the unrestricted rules. Going fast requires a lot of skill to conserve the boots.
Yeah timer starts when you pick the difficulty and ends after the final textbox fadeout. It can be manually retimed, but you can also just submit the time you believe you got with your own retime. Thanks
You can reach out to NihilistComedyHour for mod privleges to help with this.

I reverted all the changes. It will stay as is for now.
Hey all, welcome to the NES only leaderboard. The other platform leaderboard has too many options to consider and the board is just a mess. I migrated all runs over to this leaderboard and archived the NES categories from the other board.
that's a great point. I could just do that instead? Archiving them is going to take about 1 million years because of SRC's UI decisions. I'll make the changes to this suggestion. Thanks!
After careful consideration, I'm archiving the individual levels categories for this game. There are 955 levels in the game and only 32 have submissions. This board will focus on full difficulty runs and full game runs.
Fine by me!
Haha man it was insane, I won't forget that one. Thanks!
Same to you. Just tie to the frame and let's end this madness
Yeah it was insane. But new Dr Mario route on level 2/3. Definitely beatable but I'm pretty tired of this. GL!!
All good.
I actually agree, this game has so many platforms. I am really only familiar with NES/SNES. You are welcome to become a verifier (or anyone else who reaches out) if you'd like
I will remove myself as moderator if it will help the situation. I only became moderator because NCH was offline from SRC for a long time and I had a pending run.
My question is, why didn't you just message me to become a moderator and help the situation instead of doing all this extra work to "prove that I'm a bad Lemmings moderator"
