So, I am trying to do some practice runs and I have my LiveSplit hotkeys set up on my stream deck but, when I push the button, it doesn't start my timer. I literally have to click on it to make it overlay over the screen to start my timer. and when I do that, my controller quits working for my game because the game is the "active window" anymore so I have to click back on the game and it looses me some time. Is there a better way to start the timer?

I am new to speedrunning and I have never used LiveSplit before.
