Whether you're a newcomer to or a veteran of the Final Fantasy series, our event has something for you.
To celebrate the two-year anniversary of the public release of the Whirlwind mod, the FFV Central community has launched the second season of our annual event.
Eligible players in the event can gain private access to the mod's dev build by afterward submitting a playthrough of the dev build.
Epic new features and sequence breaks not found in the vanilla game allow the dev build to be completed in two hours in contrast to thirty hours according to How Long to Beat.
Sound too easy? This is where the restricted-jobs challenge and optional respinner come in.
All of the rules of the challenge are enforced by the mod, so no need to thumb through pages upon pages of rules throughout your run.
A respinner refers to an internal randomizer, as opposed to an external one, which is referred to as a repatcher.
In addition to randomizing jobs, the respinner can also randomize chests, enemies, shops, and/or bonus drops.
The event has different divisions catering to how competitively players wish to play.
Players can even opt to play a modded version of Dragon Quest VI if they do not wish to play modded Final Fantasy V.
You can find the event announcement here, while the leaderboard is here. Signups are taken via our Discord.
A comparison of the Fiesta events held by different communities can be found here. The Big List of Respinners can be found here.
Spots are available to eligible players on a first-come, first-served basis, so see you in the game!
