GG! Moving forward, please be sure to submit runs at a minimum resolution of 480p & 30 fps.
This does not refer to items which are not key items (like healing items) - since there is no achievement associated with lore notes, they are also not required. Mod team currently interprets this as every key item being utilized, to supplement the request that all stages of puzzles be shown.
Great question! The goal of this category is essentially a "all key items" ruleset - while we do not expect you to read lore notes for clues, we do expect all of the steps of a puzzle to be shown physically (e.g. not skipping the TV in Vivian's scenario). Does this help? Lmk if you have more questions :)
It looks like the switch port is being released as a separate title Update: I am now the mod for the MEATSHAKER board. Please do not hesitate to reach out with questions!
rad, thank you!! if you need help with backend stuff, I moderate a LOT of boards and would be happy to help you sort out runs that may need to be recategorized <3
Any chance of considering console runs? I see a no controller rule, but there's no great alternative for ps5 port.
Hello! I have set up the board for the 2025 release of Out of Sight: https://www.speedrun.com/Out_of_Sight_2025
We have boards set up for the demo, as well as the full release. If anyone here is interested, please feel free to reach out!
I'm not sure how accessible previous versions of the game are, but as far as I can tell the damageless category hasn't been routed for current patch. I also am unsure how viable it would be in the context of Amy's scenario, since the enemy behavior is so aggressive in that story - but am open to considering it!
I agree with shmumbler that a glitchless category might not be necessary on current patch/route, but I do wonder if there's need for a console port subcategory for the various boards? I know interest for that is probably a lot smaller than it is for PC runs, but I'm not quite sure that the two sets of control schemes are fair to compare and the autosplitter wouldn't be able to assist those folks anyway.
That's a great suggestion! I would also support a difficulty subcategory - as it is, hard mode and easy mode runs all fall under the same criteria for the "combat settings" run.
I am very interested in doing a max level run, using the NG+ mode introduced on the new patch, but don't see a home for this on the current board setup. Are there any plans to add it? If not, please consider this post my formal request <3
Hey its been a month - have you considered my request? As indicated by others in this thread, I think folks would happily run an ANY% NG+ category if it is built (myself included). There's a lot of potential for this run; I would love to see it happen!
As the new moderator, I am streamlining the setup of this board to promote a clear and consistent ruleset. Stay tuned folks <3
I tried to submit a run to the PS5 category, but the submission form seems to categorize all runs as PC runs. Additionally, some categories have no rules listed. Can you please go through the board and update the categories so that they all have rules and runs can be submitted properly?
