Currently we are not accepting run submissions and we do not know what EXACTLY running openGOAL Jak 3 will look like. This board has been opened as a place for discussion as openGOAL Jak 3 speedrunning develops. There is currently no set date that the leaderboards will accept submissions as development has not finished, but we look forward to seeing you all when we open!!

Recently a new version exclusive bug has been introduced into openGOAL, last update a hack/fix for the bones of npcs becoming NAN was accidently forgotten to be carried over. So atm you can talk to npcs from really weird and far away places. This spawned a discussion among the openGOAL SRC team about how to handle this and future version exclusive bugs. We came to the conclusion that it would be rather lame if there was a bunch of splintering over versions over accidental typos in the code and have decided to ban this and any other future version exclusive bug that may arise. In the future if there is a bug that is unique, cool, or the community would like to include in the route then we are open to re evaluating our stance at that time. If you are found to have used a version exclusive bug and benefit from it according to the discretion of the openGOAL SRC team you run may be invalidated. There is a bug in the V0.1.29 release of the game that allows for an infinite/extended pause buffer. This is not an indented feature and is not a result of the port. This is a oversight when they added a QOL feature and will be fixed in future releases of OpenGOAL.
As such in order to keep the versions competitive the openGOAL team has decided to ban the use of this glitch and purposefully using this glitch in your runs will cause them to be deemed invalid

EDIT: OpenGOAL has been updated to a version the leaderboards support! You can download the game at https://opengoal.dev/ Make sure the version reads Game Version: v0.1.29 or higher or the run will not be valid!
