If you aren't familiar, Ace Attorney is a visual novel courtroom adventure series. The speedrunning scene for Ace Attorney isn't that active and as one of the moderators I am trying to revive it.
Most people run the original Trilogy, where there are two releases. The Original Release (GBA, DS, and Wii) and the Trilogy Release (3DS, Mobile, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC). The two releases have different leaderboards with different methods.
It is overall an interesting series and relatively easy to speedrun. If you are interested and/or have any questions please join our Discord server linked below. We have also included the series page if you want to check it out.

I believe you have to have the browser window in focus, so if you're playing a game on the same device then no luck. That is unless there is way to use global inputs on browser but I don't know about that
You can find the WiiWare releases on the MarioCube repository. And yes, Dolphin Emulator is allowed for this release
Hello everyone! I'm Jay, new mod here. You might recognize me from the runs I have done. I am here to bring you guys some updates.
1: The main game rules are up and immediately active. Any run from before 4/12/22 that doesn't follow those rules will be kept on the leaderboards.
2: You can now use the Wii U Virtual Console and Gameboy Player on the GameCube to run the GBA version of the game. Not ideal, but there for those who want it.
3: An Ace Attorney Speedrunning Discord is now up! If you would like, please join so we can grow our community!

If I recall you can actually inject GBA roms into the Wii Us Virtual Console system. Better than emulators, so I would do that if I were you.
Though honestly, I would just run the WiiWare versions through the Virtual Wii as it has text skip unlike the GBA version. If you need help with either options you can add me on Discord

Comparison between the DS and WiiWare versions of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney when speedrunning.
If you want to get "good" times on the Original Release category, I recommend you run on WiiWare. (French version is the fastest)
The biggest differences are: Text Skip Loading times Menu selection
I tend to have background noise sometimes. I run on New3DS and my phone (which is recording) often picks up this noise. Is it okay if it is not included in runs?
I proposed the idea to the active moderator and they agreed. I gave them a template to work off of and I assume it will be here soon.
Hmm, what about making separate leaderboards? That could work for everyone.
I suggested misc categories in TheBarinades stream.
At first, I was gonna say to make a separate leaderboard. Now, I think it should be completely banned.
On PC, an auto clicker is used for turbo runs. Some auto clickers are faster than others though. For example, the auto clicker TheBarinade uses breaks my computer, giving him an unfair advantage.
Not to discredit anyone using turbo, I would be happy to use it if it could be the same speed for everyone.

Well I gave him steps to prove it is legit. If those steps can't be completed AND we find out it is 100% fake then I'm banning him from the subreddit.
Hey everyone. I came across this post on Reddit today of somebody claiming they got 10.97 on Don Flamenco. I automatically became skeptical as he was using a web emulator that acts like trash.
I left something in the replies, but at this point I'm not sure if it is fake. I need your thoughts, especially top speedrunners (zallard1, Summoning Salt, etc)
