As we all know, in this game outside drift is the best. Sure, there are a select few courses where inside drift is best, but overall, it's outside drift. The track leaderboards on mk8dx are dominated by outside drift, and while that's its own form of cool, it leaves inside drift mains in a bit of a pickle: either learn an entirely new way to drive or be content with no top 10 times on the vast majority of courses.

What I'm suggesting is a speedrun category dedicated to inside drift, maybe just for the tracks. It'll bring out some really cool strategies for inside drift and allow the mains to flex their muscles a bit apart from just for online. It turns what basically amounts to a gimmick to a fully fledged competitive scene, and would be exciting to actually watch!
