This game gives you an IGT time at the end of credits. Considering emulation is much faster then console, it would be a good timing method to incorporate. Also, separation of emulation and console is probably a good idea if not using IGT.

Sure. I recommend using duckstation or Bizhawk with no speed enhancements. If it seems like the game runs different enough to console I can separate the categories as well.

For Bio1 I've always had the black boxes issue due to using a dual gpu laptop. On rebirth its only on blood/glass, subtitles and the menu. Would a run with these issues be accepted to the board?

@death_unites_us Head into the Crispy Doom Setup exe. "Configure Keyboard" -> "Other Keys...". You are looking for "Restart Level/Demo". That should restart demos at the first level they originally started at.

Edit: If that doesn't work then idk. Make sure you have the most up to date version as well.

Yeah pretty much. You would time each of your Segments then add them together for the final time.

You can save and reload during the run but it must be done in 1 sitting, with real time. If you do it in multiple sittings then it is considered Segmented which I would not mind adding as a category.

The end time is on the final hit of Calamity. Start time is when you hit New Game. Most people use an external timer like Livesplit but you can just a stopwatch on your PC or Phone or even just do the timing post stream or whatever. The reason we don't use the timer in the game is because it is untested and we are not sure what it times and we want to allow people to save and reload during their runs if they die.

Are you running it on a backwards compatible PS3 with the disc or are you using an unofficial emulator on your PS3?

EDIT: I read your description again and I missed the "disc" part when verifying, my bad haha. There is a platform on the site specially for backwards compatible PS3 so I will add it and edit your run to reflect that. I've also edited your time to reflect the Asia% timing that is in the rules.

Somewhat related but the any% JP route doesn't work iirc because it doesnt function with the 2nd controller but thats all I noticed.

I wonder, is this an issue with the JP PS2 or the JP version of the game? I know that some games run better on a PS3 (Not PSN) but that's a different category.

PCSX2 runs the game much faster then console so maybe a separate category could be considered.
