@LuminescentSky that is why I specified 01/03/26, GGs!
As of 01/03/26, Shinger has become the first person to achieve all 69 solo world records across the Category Extensions leaderboard...nice.
Jokes aside, this is an incredible accomplishment, and I can think of nobody more deserving. Shinger doesn't reside in the Spyro community servers, but if you are a fan of top-tier SRT gameplay, make sure you check them out!
No worries, also there is a program called LiveSplit that will give you a more accurate time (this board uses Loadless) - there are guides for the setup but we can also help with that.
GG, if you decide you want to push your run further feel free to reach out to myself or anyone in our Discord server!
Really happy to see the guide has been helpful! GGs, and best of luck pushing onwards
A few suggestions for all the women speedrunners* out there:
-
Don't chug heaps of water before/during a speedrun.
-
Consider using a bathroom (if there is one) before starting a speedrun.
-
Practice bladder control, since as we all know, sometimes you just have to hold it!
-
If it's urgent, pause the game and lose some time to relieve yourself, it's not the end of the world!
-
Finally, if you are still struggling to finish your speedrun, maybe you should consider trying a shorter category.
Hopefully some of these tips were helpful! Unfortunately I'm pretty bad at crafting so I've had to come up with some solutions of my own.
*Feel free to try these out regardless of your gender!
Hey! Just as a heads up, it is not possible to supercharge the 6th spider unless you have "90 Minutes", which is when you have been playing as Spyro for at least 75-90 minutes, and will cause your supercharge to travel further. I hope your future IL attempts are successful!
Hello, all we need to be able to verify a run is a video showcasing the run, and evidence of IGT included in that video. Then we can work out the RTA using the video, those are the only required details for Console submissions.
One note about video evidence, please make sure you submit a link to a highlight of the run, and not a past broadcast, since they automatically disappear after a few weeks.
NBS stands for "No Balloonist Skip" - Balloonist Skip (and Fairy Storage) shortens the Spyro 1 Any% category to just Artisans, the Peace Keepers homeworld and some of Gnorc Gnexus.
NG+ stands for "New Game+" - this is widely known in speedrunning as essentially beating the game again with more abilities unlocked. In SRT, you can acquire a permanent superflame powerup in Dragon Shores after beating Spyro 2 100%, or even utilise something known as "Level Storage".
NLS stands for "No Level Storage" - this ability can be acquired in Spyro 2, though it is quite tricky at first. LS gives you the abilities you have in S2 Speedways, so you can use superflight/supercharge wherever you go. As this is very different from the vanilla Spyro experience, LS is only allowed in certain categories, usually NG+.
NMS stands for "No Major Skips" - the theme here is if there is something like Balloonist Skip or Level Storage available, NMS categories will not allow them.
If you have any further questions feel free to continue the thread or join the Discord server!
I haven't seen that method, it's possible for the Mama on the ground to slap you up to the ledge on the other side but that's cool!
