Hm, I do like your reasoning behind that as I have not thought of that before. I guess perhaps changing minimum hearts to Low% would be a better option. And would be an easy change as there are really no runs on that board that only do Minimum Hearts. Okay! You have won me over. I will change Minimum hearts to become low% again. So that will mean low hearts and no glidless just as you had mentioned. That will go into effect ASAP.
That's a great point actually that has not been brought up yet. I will take that into consideration for sure. Also we felt that low% was just practically minimum hearts so there was no point in having a category such as that on the boards. It's too much of a clutter of pointless categories.
Other than that I do believe sub 4 is a good threshold because many newer people recently are getting sub 5 very easily within 2 hours. It would be pointless to require such a high threshold. Lowering it to sub 4 is good because it allows the runner to keep playing and submitting as they please to see if they consider continue grinding this game. Sub 4 is also a very difficult task and does take more time to actually accomplish.
But besides everything, welcome back! Awesome to have past runners come back again. And GL on your journey to 3:35! Excited to see where any% leads too.
I understand things might be frustrating at the moment because of me and red just randomly coming out of the blue being mods. I hope that we will grow on you and others, as we're only trying to make this game have the best look and representation it can have.
Hey hahhah! Good to hear from you. I would like to say I have been thinking about this for awhile as well. The whole screenshot things is starting to look a little iffy on the boards. That said though, I don't believe it should go away, but to a certain extent. I believe any time that's 4:00 and below should be the threshold for when a video is needed. Because as myself was grinding for sub 4 it's not an easy task to do whatsoever and many people could quite easily just fake a run into top 3. I am most likely going to change this and talk with red on it because I as well agree with this.
As for other categories we might find a time and require this threshold too.
*Edit: We have discussed and decided to change the video requirement to be 3:59 and below, and any others with a time of 4:00 and above require screenshot. As for other categories, we will leave it as the original World Record requires video; this is because currently not many runners run those categories as much and we would like to test out some times with those in order to further clarify a good threshold for them. Thanks for the suggestion and feedback. Let me know if there is anything else bothering you that we could and might change. We just received mod and ownership of this game and are still learning the kinks, so please forgive us if we seem scrambled at times.
