I dont really care about mc speedruns anymore, if anyone wants to take it over message me on discord or twitter
Hey guys, would using a drawing tablet fall under website or touch web? Thanks
Hi. I wanted to ask why Glitched% has this name even though the only thing that's different from any% is the swim glitch. Shouldn't it be the other way around? Any% technically means everything goes. So I would say Any% no L+R and Any%. All Bosses is cool but there could also be a 100% category, even though I will probably not be able to do a run of it, since All Bosses is just adding more time to Any% while making it glitchless for some reason? Sorry if I am being a noob here, but we are in an event called RNG and we are playing this game this week but I just needed some clarifications ^^
Hey everyone, we would like to introduce you to Random Nostalgic Game, also known as RNG. We speedrun a new game from old consoles (not pc) every week, which is hand-picked randomly by our own bot. For example, this week we're running R-Type for the SMS. Based on your time at the end of the week, you will be awarded points, and at the end of each quarter, we reset the scores and the old board will be archived. We do this through google sheets. The point of this event is to live through old games again, route them, and enjoy running them, but also shine some light on lesser known gems. We've taken some inspiration from "speedrun weekly", so they kinda made this possible. In a way.
Sound fun? The only thing you need to join is a computer and a bit of motivation!

I don't think I'm good enough for the event!

That's not to worry about, the event is much less about winning then having fun, mainly because there are no real prizes after each quarter. It's supposed to be fun for everyone, and even if you don't submit runs, it's not to be heard that you can't stay and enjoy the fun.

Hi everyone! After playing through the update I saw that the lag problem had thankfully been solved, so I played through the classic mode a bit to get into the rhythm of things again, but it seems that MMS has been made way harder, at least on insane. The CPUs are not as easily KOd, since most moves with high base knockback don't send the enemies flying anymore (if you want a comparison, the normal MMS plays like before in the stadium).
I went through the changelog and it seems this stage has been made harder for every difficulty. We should probably seperate classic runs by version, since the new update adds at least 30-45 seconds to MMS per run. Would love to hear some opinions!
Hello. I have been speedrunning a romhack of this game called "Mario's Next Adventure". We have a 100% category in this game, similar to lunar dragon here, but there is one problem: upon dying, you lose all star coins you've previously collected. Me and the mod aren't sure how we set the rules, because we either have to make the rules so that the collected star coins are in "shadow", which means that even after being collected and dying, they don't have to be collected again (which would be a relief for runners but might be harder for mods to verify run's integrities since runners don't get the 1-up needed to verify 100% status, since it's the only thing we go off of) or if they have to be (inverse situation, nightmare for runners that can't even get a checkpoint in a specific level because backtracking is impossible, but easier for mods to verify). We would like some second opinions here. Thank you ^^
Hey y'all. I asked bigpro to mod me and he obliged, so I took some time to rewrite the rules and delete some obsolete categories to be more like basegame sm64. (In essence, each category exists because a clip is banned, save 100% of course, so arbitrary categories have been removed) If you have any questions, shoot us a message on the discord!
I've been thinking about this a lot and it could pose a solution to the massive influx of maps and rom hacks. I thought that, under the full-game / level LBS on the left tab on a game page, we could have a "Maps", "Servers", "Rom Hacks" kind of sub-series thing? Similar to actual series, we could have pages sorted under the game itself and listed as if it were a series and have the original game in the top left, something like that, to have more direct control over rules and such, since the rules for maps in minecraft, for example, are often ignored, and have all those pesky one-player-pages in one place. for moderators, we can just inaugurate the mods of the games themselves, that could also decide if a map/rom hack/ whatever goes through or not. thoughts?
just thought about it but I think it would be cool if we could comment on someone's run directly, like youtube/reddit and give each other advice/congratulate new record holders on the run page itself. imo it could make the site a little more lively and encourage helping each other out, as well as giving people the opportunity to ask a runner why they did something/give them advice on a bit they're doing wrong. I know we could just use youtube for this, but it would still be cool to comment on a run directly on the page rather than on another site.
I'm playing on a custom pc, which should be strong enough to handle any game, including SSF2. However I randomly get lag spikes ~20 minutes into gameplay. any ideas?
Hi! I like this map, and I wanted to moderate it; i'm trying to build up a portfolio, if you will.
Hi, this game looks interesting and I'd be happy to moderate and tidy up the place a bit.
so I have PPL on the Wii VC but I was wondering how I can capture the wii since it doesn't have HDMI output (the only one I can record on my PC with my elgato hd). Is there one out there for this, can I make it work with my elgato or would it just be better to record with a camera?
