It looks like they added a new level since the speedruns that are recorded were done? It is one where you have to go up ... and takes a lot of time. Or is that something that you can skip somehow. Anyone else seeing this or can help?

I have posted this elsewhere, but wanted to make a new thread to make sure everyone saw it so that they know what's going on, and they have a chance to weigh in.

1. All runs will be moved into the new categories. Nobody's runs will go away or need to be resubmitted
2. The whole idea here is to make running this game more appealing to new runners, and to drive up more competition in fewer categories instead of the current 48 different categories
3. All categories will have a sub-categorization between Easy and Hard. Otherwise, everything will be at the category level on the Full-Game Leaderboard
4. Current Glitched% will be moved to a Miscellaneous category

--Any% will contain the 2-Island Easy and 2-Island Hard runs using Custom Squad. --4-Island% will contain the 4-Island Easy and 4-Island Hard runs using Custom Squad. --Squad% will contain all of the non-Custom Squad 2-Island Easy/Hard runs. --Squad 4-Island% will contain all of the non-Custom Squad 4-Island Easy/Hard runs. --All Squads% will contain the current All Squad runs. I will remove the current without secret squad run (it's mine. I'm just fine not having it split out separately). --100% will contain gamejam's all achievements run which is currently in the All Squads category

I plan to make these changes very soon. I am positive that this will help us to grow the community here. Again, please ping me ASAP if you have any concerns.

Hi mods: I'm gonna clean up the mods for this game. Right now it's mainly myself and Cmdr who are active. If you have not been on the site in over a year then I will be removing you as a mod. You probably won't see this until you log back into the site after the fact, but this is why.

Anyone interested in trying a run that also completes all of the DLCs (Pirate's Cove and Ice Cream Headaches)?

I still have to get my Any% better, but I think a run with one or both DLC expansion levels completed as well would be fun.

We're holding a tournament this Saturday, Aug 11 at 10am Pacific / 1pm Eastern.

It will be a double-elimination tournament running Boss - Necromancer.

Given the new categories that we are running and are wanting to run, I think it would make sense to re-organize the categories to the following (note the indentation. The idea is that you would have top-level categories to keep things organized). Note, Darkest mode unless specified:

• Boss% TOP LEVEL ---- Necromancer% (rename Necromancer% No Summons) ---- Necromancer% Open ---- Hag% ---- Swine Prince% ---- Siren% ---- Miller% ---- Baron% ---- Crocodilian% (this is the renaming of the current Courtyard% category)
• Map% TOP LEVEL (complete all achievement bosses within a map area) ---- Ruins% ---- Warrens% ---- Weald% ---- Cove% ---- Courtyard%
• Any% TOP LEVEL ---- Apprentice Bosses% ---- Veteran Bosses% ---- Champion Bosses% ---- Roster% (Radiant mode, bring all heroes to lvl6) ---- Darkest Dungeon% (Radiant mode)

I know many of these categories don't have submissions yet, but many of us are getting ready to run or have already run them. It'll be nice to have an agreed-upon category before they start getting run. Thoughts? Can we make this happen?

Hi guys. I just did a run of all apprentice bosses. It's FAR from an optimized run as you start to run up against guys who over-level themselves, and I had to do a medium run in the Weald to open the Hag.

However, I had fun with this one. It's quite different from the other single-boss runs as you do have to pay attention to stress levels and all that. It's quite complex.

Can we get this added as an official run? My run was 3hr 20min 16sec. I'm confident that I'll be able to PB a solid half-hour or more now that I've got the basic strategy of the run down.

So I know we just added Hag% and are talking about Color of Madness DLC ... but I think a different type of run strat would be to do a Roster 100% run where you need to complete all the roster goals, which is getting a level 6 of each character.

I would recommend this be on Radiant mode so that you can get to those levels faster.

This could be a non-DLC mode so that anyone can play and might appeal to players used to playing casually. It would be a longer run, but wouldn't force you to run through bosses, so not as much RNG hell. Would be fun to route!
