For now, the platforms for the Arcade Archives releases have been added to the main boards.

In case there's differences compared to the original arcade release, or any advantageous tricks or techniques discovered, we can move all the Arcade Archives runs to a subcategory. But for the time being, they'll be on the same leaderboard

The profile background artwork pieces (like the background on this page) are named after the tracks. The songs from the game are also named "trackname day/night"

I don't speak polish so i can't confrim 100% the songnames match the artwork names, but i'd assume the artwork was named by the devs

Just checked this. No difference between 60fps and 160+ i got it to run at. Tested at Alpine 2, Same car, automatic with full throttle until crashing into the wall. Both hit the wall on exact same frame in the recordings.

I feel like it's going to be a difficult choise if this should be allowed. Now that i've seen how it's done and how easy it is, i see absolutely no harm in it, unless something like having blank textures makes the game run faster etc is discovered.

Then again, i have usually been against allowing texture/QoL mods on the leaderboards so it doesn't become extremely confusing. And i do believe, or at least hope, that in most cases not allowing any modifications demotivates people of using any "malicious" mods.

I'm not a mod, but i personally would probably not allow this. Even though it's very cool and i would definitely want to make my own textures.

I don't think IL boards for this game would be that good of an addition. The problem being, that the times would most likely be timed using IGT, and the game only times full seconds. Any effort put into the IL runs would just make tied WRs in most of the tracks, as the there is no items in time trials, and the tracks are short and really easy.

I'm probably gonna shoot myself in the leg with this, but i'm not a mod though, so what can i say :D

I asked for this :) As emulator is the preferred way of playing this, it's better to be safe and require having the FPS counter on, so you can't just use the movie function in the emu while using savestates to play. Especially when the overall level of skill is already really high, it's good to try to have some measures for anti-cheating

Some of my submissions seem to just vanish. Happened to me a couple times just recently. I had submitted a time on the boards, got the popup telling me a moderator needs to verify it, but it never goes to pending. Figured out a run was missing after other runs were verified.

There isn't any "best car" or "correct car", except for the PRC Utopia for Shooting hoops. I recommend starting out with MMM Ecureuil, setting some decent times and then trying to beat those times with other cars to see which might work the best for you.

Something i would want to point out, is that ePSXe 2.0.5 gained the ability to overclock the virtual cpu. That might be unfair compared to actual hardware in laggy areas in some games.
