Requirements:

• Xidi (v5.0.0)
• Xidi SDL3 Plugin

Instructions:

1. Download Xidi and inside the Win32 folder, extract dinput8.dll and Xidi.32.dll to the game folder.

2. Download the Xidi SDL3 Plugin and inside the Win32 folder, extract SDL.XidiPlugin.32.dll and SDL3.dll to the game folder.

3. Open Notepad as Administrator and copy/paste this config:

6. Save the config and launch the game.

2. Save the config and launch the game.

1. Select one and download.

• PS2 Buttons (English, Japanese, German, French, Italian, Spanish language support)

• Xbox 360 Buttons (English, Russian language support)

• Xbox One Buttons (English, Russian language support)

2. Choose a language and extract the folder contents to "data2" (Vanilla/SS v2.4.3) or "native\rom" (SS v3.0+) folder.

3. Run the game to see the changes.

I found an app called PS2 Controller Remapper on YouTube and it showed that it changed the default mapping to a different one by generating a cheat code.

I tested it at PCSX2 Nightly v1.7.5449 on DMC1 for both US/EU releases which I mapped Triangle to Melee, Jump to Cross, and Shoot to Circle. At first, I generated PNACH code but after seeing a program made by the same dev (PS2 Patch Engine) that can permanently patch the codes to the ISO itself, it became possible.

This patch allows you to play the game with the JPN/HDC Type A control scheme BUT Melee textures will still say Circle so you might get confused. Also Confirm and Cancel will be Circle and X, like the common JPN PS games.

This thread might be useless since HDC already exist.

Has anyone tried DMC3 Input Things for other controller support? This one needs to be installed with Style Switcher 3.0+. https://github.com/muhopensores/dmc3-inputs-thing/releases

Needs SDL2.dll x86 - https://github.com/libsdl-org/SDL/releases

I only tested Xbox 360 Wired, a USB Generic Gamepad with Speedlink Strike Driver, and a Wired PS4 Controller which works so far without 3rd party apps like XOutput and DS4Windows.
