The timer pauses there in Chapter 2 because that's when completion data is created. You can close the game and go to Chapter 3 right then

To answer your question in the description, no, that's not allowed. Your best bet is to just copy everything in your save folder and move it somewhere else.

in the linux version you can press z / enter while having the other one held down (same goes with x / shift and c / ctrl), just makes stuff like mashing easier

This would be a lot of work, sure, but I think it's worth considering retiming runs to not count the ads (at least the forced ones & revives). Otherwise, people who paid for stuff will just get an obvious unfair advantage, especially considering different countries/different ad lengths etc.

I'm aware you can stop them by turning off your internet but it would be nice not having to do that lol
