Switch has advantages over PC as well, specifically in that resetting the game is much, much easier to do quickly (without setting up superflous macros on PC).
The AV is advantageous, yes, but if it's banned frankly theres no real way to check if someone is cheating. Plus there's like 5 of us currently and I think we're all ok with it. Interesting discussion but the solution is just that it exists and it's going to get used.
Additionally its best and strongest use case is for learning the game. The more you play the less you have to look at it in the first place since the schedule is rote repetition and memorization until the end of the first major 4.
I say this in the most genuine and earnest way I possibly can: you really just gotta finish a run before getting swamped in the minutia over and over again man. Worrying about rules and optimal combination routing and everything else is really just a waste of time if you're not gonna buckle down and submit a time. Trying to split the categories is antithetical to your stated cause of wanting to support the community.
Playing on a different patch would make it a different category.
I'd have to play again to see exactly what you mean for the first one (but I think I agree if I'm reading it correctly). Start is when you start the level after clicking through the overview and ends when you finish the last pro objective.
For the second point I agree 100%. There was no precedent beforehand so we just stopped when the game over screen popped up.
Hey there,
Looking if I can be added as a mod for https://www.speedrun.com/mat_hoffmans_pro_bmx_2
I'm more or less the only active runner at the moment and I have not been able to get in touch with the mod of the game's page recently (he hasn't been online for over a month). I know this isn't an egregious length of time but I've got a bunch of videos that are waiting to be uploaded (including current WR in every IL and the full game) so it'd probably be easier if I'm able to make some changes myself.
