I would recommend using vdub (virtualdub) with the mp4 plugin for framecounting and then just putting in the frames that you got into the somewes.com frame section. Sadly I cant give out links but you should find it pretty easy.

If you have two Monitors, I would recommend using Nestopia on full screen (press ALT+Enter) It has no/very little input delay depending on your computer.

That is the PAL version of the game just like @eddiecatgaming said. If you want to use the ROM that most speedrunners use look for a ROM that says either "(USA)" or "NTSC". You can also use the japanese version which would be "(Japan)" or "NTSC-J".

Also @KilleDragon I think it was forbidden to post ROMs on the forums. I would recommend deleting that post to not get terminated on speedrun.com.

If the music is sped up, It might be that you're playing on PAL mode with a european ROM. Speedruns on this are usually done using the NTSC version of the game.

EDIT: Seems like retroarch is allowed, since it has a nestopia core I guess.

I have put my delay to 240ms in OBS. I use AmaRecTV and windowcapture that into OBS. But like Darpey said, you really gotta play around with the delay.

I personally use a August VGB100, but like kcaj said, alot of people use the GV-USB2. If you're just starting out, I think a normal Video Grabber should do the job, but they die rather quickly. I had one that died in like a few months while others that are top runners (for example youtubeman06) use them for like years. It depends on the quality that you want to have. The August VGB100 and GV-USB2 are the same when it comes to videoquality. The cheap ones start out at like 10$ so they are really cheap and you gotta get lucky getting one that does the job long enough, or you get one for like 30-40$ and be pretty much set.

About the Physics part, you only need to do Two bumps in 4-2 for the wrong Warp to easily work. ;) On PAL Mario gets pushed to the right more than in NTSC
