This post is pretty much exactly what the title says. After speaking with a moderator about this, It was recommended that I gauge DOA runner interest in maybe having Autolink/mods (Safe for work obviously, lets not break any website rules) allowed for non world record runs. I'll be recording a side by side soon to test if the potential lag is the same for both modded and non modded. Definitely looking to see what opinions Last Round runners have on this.
Thank you for telling me. I do miss things sometimes and I guess I'd only really seen like one thing for L4D2. Not sure if that kinda thing applies for cosmetic mods or things like that, but I do appreciate you telling me! This is good knowledge to have. Thank you. Really not sure how I missed that.
I want to start off by saying I absolutely know why most game moderators ask not to use mods currently, considering it would be unfair to compare a modded game to a non modded run. I think there's a real solution here though- Have modded runs as their own category for runs. As someone who mods a good deal, this is something I've thought a lot about, and I really think the idea has merit. Thoughts are welcome, and I do wanna add, I would be more than willing to moderate for that category/ a game in that category should anyone agree. I'm also more than willing talk or explain more should that be wanted.
Wasn't really sure how to frame this in the title, but basically what I wanna know is, are character skin mods allowed? (I am aware stuff that changes the gameplay or would impact the run itself is not allowed).
