It's only possible to leave when the camera has zoomed in and out, so if you use this strategy than it would be valid for both level and world runs.

I would like to know when you could go to the level select screen after a level to change from character. i think that the best option is to make it that you can leave a level after the last win animation has completed. (When the last close-up off king tongue ends in a level.)
