You can remove the 5 minutes timer for 1p run and that saves 10 seconds in total. Otherwise iif you could put the link for 2 runs that appears different it could be great. I'd love to see if there's indeed an issue!
It's harder because even with the timer on or off if it's difficult to know how good is the frame rate of the run.
Yes emulator loads faster the transitions and handle lags better. That's why they are on their own for RTA categories. They don't have any impact on break the targets/ board the platforms since we use the in-game time. All n64 should run the same, it could be laggier if you use a fire flower or Charizard is on stage (the flame effect tends to tank the performance of the game) but otherwise it should run close to 60fps at all time.
I reviewed them, it's fine overall. It could be better obviously but it's still acceptable.
You would need obs and a mic to get both the game audio and you talking.
Otherwise if unsure, just go with the game audio instead.
Emulator are already their own category where they make a difference (everything Real time).
They are not separated for individual level (break the targets/ board the platforms) as there's no difference in timer for console and emulator. You can see for each runs if they were achieved on console or emulator
Yes if the language is English with no option to switch language then you are using the NTSC-U or NA version which is the most common / most played here. Have fun !
Are you playing the American or European version of the game (then it would be NA / PAL). Otherwise if the game is in Japanese (you would choose J version)
Your break the targets section was actually 5th if you submit it to all break the targets category!
For any bonus modes using in-game timer only, the default settings are acceptable otherwise the score is not saved and it's indicated in the character selection screen.
The same thing applies for the RTA modes where it would flag it as invalid in the character selection screen.
This is a terrible decision by the mods of this game to not include all the in-game time categories even if they are on cyberscore.
Any activity for the game is good and actual mode with timers are the first ones that people can compete on without requiring any equipment.
It's baffling how butchered this leaderboard is. It might be even worse than ultimate and that one is garbage.
We added break the targets and board the platforms for smash 64 in 2018-2019 and it brought tons of players that never heard of cyberscore. On top, most of those players would also dabble in RTA type speedrun offered in the leaderboard.
it's done, you may now submit 1.5.0 runs using the 4 new characters : Metal Luigi, Banjo & Kazooie, Ebisumaru and Dragon King. Also every character now have Remix Race to the Finish
Yeah give me a couple of days, it's a lot to update.
Most likely there will be some minor bug fixes patch
Mod note : Time ends upon hitting the last target or landing on the last platform. Not when you end your timer. Please do the effort to retime your runs properly.
I think kahuna made a typo and added an unnecessary t.
I think the game is fantastic, it's incredibly fun in versus even just casually or with items. 1 player content is a little limited and every characters going through the same story mode is a little blah for me but it was the first game after all. I think melee brought a lot of amazing things but I still feel the control way tighter/ responsive in this entry. You don't see people suicide as much in this game.
I don't think it would cause any issues. If you run break the targets/ board the Platforms we use in-game time so it's the exact same as running on console. If you run classic mode, just submit as emulator
Sounds like you didn't patch your rom properly.. maybe check on the remix discord for support!
