I'll level with ya, i did the run before i posted :P so technically im unlucked into a VIP run that i can't use any benefits of VIP for (unluck) however i just did another one thats 30m faster without the log in reward horse :)

Now it was not a VIP horse, however it was a limited time horse (had to be there basically) free for anyone who was, do we consider this a F2P or a VIP thing (im not VIP and havn't been since like 2014)

Hey folks - i feel like alot of you guys are wondering why your runs havn't been approved - i just got given mod for the game - Ideally i don't want to moderate for it, im here to make sure that runs keep being approved but im not familiar with the run like some of you other guys might be, So if anyone wants to take over the moderation of the board let me know <3 can add you guys in to it

I always like to recommend swamp fever cuz its got a bit of everything - learning events on map 1, a good line to learn bhopping down to the river, the stumble (on 2.0.0.0) the adrenaline/water management, the god spot that requires you to leave allies alive to TP back to.. Like its obviously not to say its the best to learn THE GAME but IMO it covers ALOT of the fundamentals in a very short span of time

Disagree - the game is effectively playing - not loading or otherwise interfering, timer should still be running - cutscenes do not fly for pauses in 99% of games. Loss of character control should only apply to a stopped timer if its the end of the run (whereby losing control of the character signifies the end of the run - not being able to play the game after cutscene/loss of control ends)

I had to put a LOT of hours in to get those times, its crazy how execution heavy the run is haha, appreciate it man ! I just prefer discord as a talking method + its easier to talk about things for me (i rarely check forums i was already on SRC when these notifcations came through haha)

But yeah - even if you are the only person to run it, please do do runs! id love to see it !

Honestly the best way to speedrun this game is start the timer and go - the lack of massive tricks and focus on execution makes the run extremely beginner friendly with a very quick to learn route :)

Best way to learn is to watch the WR and just see how it does things and start following along.

To get started - you'l want to download Livesplit - theres a bunch of tutorials around the web and youtube on getting that installed and set up for your purpose - Since the game is pretty straight forward you don't need to worry about splits - the timer itself should be enough :)

whilst im not the super mod so i can't pass like a tangible judgement - typically speaking if theres a run for a category in other games i mod im down to add them, however for something like "one handed" that definitely seems like a category extension/misc than a main board addition, hope this helps, feel free to reach out to Nordic!

i did notice herberts smidge of RNG - i was wondering what times there was affecting that ! I wasn't aware of fps affecting the game - is it an option on PC i uhh.. never checked lmao i only swapped audio around XD Either way, GGs impressive time either way ! <3
