I agree too, it should be a major glitch because it requires a savefile prior to the run itself. :D

I've read the rules and save/quitting isn't allowed so this probably isn't feasible because of that.

I've seen this thread for a while with zero clue about what the mod is and after a google search I cringed a little bit. Thank god I've never seen it as a kid!

In case you wish to see health, armor and ammo first you have to collect the HEV suit. I hope I didn't misunderstand you.

I agree but sadly the definition of speedrunning favors speed over difficulty. That's why the easier categories gets that "unfair" attention in the case of every game.

That one doesn't work for me either. Use the GoldSrc package instead because that's the one which works for me. :)

It's easy to update it manually. Download a newer version of it from the resources tab. The link is the one at the top and once you downloaded it just overwrite the older DLL file with the new one. :) Don't care about the "last updated" thing on this site because when you click the link then you will see that it was updated this year's march.

How can I start to speedrun that? I don't find the IL config.

Maxlist, I just figured out what you can do. You can either use listdemo or write a cfg just like below for the timer during playback:

playdemo WGH-IL_1.dem bxt_hud_timer 1 bxt_timer_start

[Important: don't use playdemo in mid-run] (Important 2: I found out that the timer shows alternating times when you play it back more times.)
