Yes they don’t start until you shoot the save but after loading the save you still have to shoot it to start the boss. You can see me shoot it to start the boss in the video.
The saves don’t benefit me in any way for those two levels which is why I’m trying to get them approved.
Two of my boss runs were rejected cause I'm silly.
Pasting the rejection reason by Cabbage for context:
"hi sorry to reject this run. it's my fault because the rules weren't clear (I'm new to writing these rules / moderating). but the level should be full reset before starting, the message saying "save has been loaded" makes it a bit faster since the boss starts immediately. it would be unfair to the other runners if I verified this but I added rules making it more clear in the future"
Allgood it's ok that you're new to moderating. I'm just glad we finally have another mod for IWM Speedrun.com. Yes I definitely should've just full reset but I stupidly interpreted the rules (before they were updated) incorrectly (For some reason I thought I had to enter the level from level select and full resetting from within the level wasn't allowed). However, 4-B Space Marauder and 3-B Mechanical Angel Prototype seem to start at the same speed from the save and the full reset. There isn't an intro animation like 5-B Crusher of Legend. (I still have to shoot the save to start the boss in 3-B and 4-B if that's what you're talking about).
If those runs have to stay as rejected runs because I didn't full reset then that's completely understandable. I just hope I can match or beat my previous times.
I don't know if any other bosses have an intro animation (I haven't checked) but 3-B and 4-B do not.
