I completed this and got to flagpole. I did not manage to jump to top. Do you need to reach top in order to unlock secret exit as I do not seem to have achieved anything. Thanks.

Once you have collected a badge and you use it on a level, does it disappear or is it there for ever. Thanks. Trying to gather as much info and ammo before moving out of the easy levels!
