As you may have heard, we're going to be adding a new mod or two in light of recent events; This forum is for purpose of publicly saying you'd like to be a mod. Please state why youd make a good mod, and keep other conversations out of this thread. After a few applicants are in, a strawpoll will be made and posted here so the Soul Knight Speedrun community can vote on who they think would do the best.
It was brought to my attention that the admin Pingvin107 may be abusing his powers for the sake of his own records. At the night of posting this im going to begin the process of undoing the use of in game time as it was agreed between the oldest 2 mods at the time. (Me and DragonTurtle) that real time was more fair and reliable.
Additionally after that I will do my best to assist you all in finding new mods and contacting site mods about Pingvin's possible abuse if power, as due to the admin status i foolishly granted him cant be removed by me.
Im sorry of my constant disappearances, but ill try my best for this laat time as moderator to help set things straight and get a few more trustworthy and active mods here.
More to come tomorrow, if you have questions post them here ir message me directly.
I'm debating internally on whether we should ban the use of Vampire skip portals. I have a few reasons: 1.Takes some of the fun and interesting parts out if you can just get lucky and skip a full level, though this is the smallest reason. 2. The main reason here is simply the fact that the Vampire is unlocked through a purchase of real money, making it unfair for those who can't purchase the character just to get portals.
So I'm planning a 100% run, and thought that I could run some ideas here for what order to take. So far this is what I've got: Tutorial-> Rhybaax-> Wiindigoo Kekujira Jhaiti Uhl'uht'c Yacare. So far the farthest I've got before getting interrupted by real life was halfway through Wiindigoo, any thoughts on this route?
1.So this game has a few consistent runners, but I was thinking of trying to get this game out there as a good mobile game for speedrunning, a few ideas to do this I had was doing collaborations with some people here on tips and ways to get into speedrunning this game on YouTube, as well as trying to spread it with word of mouth and get people you think would be interested to give it a try.
- I'm going to be busy with school starting up so I'm looking for people to step up and work as mods or at least verifiers, if interested respond here.
Seeing as the game is on steam, I'm assuming that's a version we can use to record and run this game?
If you find your submission on the leaderboards with a different time than submitted, then when I watched the run I most likely noticed you stopping time early or late, and it will be adjusted accordingly.
I think that we might care to try getting word out about this game to see if we can get more people to run it.
Wanted to check before o record a run, would this use the in-game timer or an external timer?
Since this game and the sequel have been released on the Nintendo Switch, can runs played on that version of the game be submitted?
