United StatesIf you've got a flash drive loading games off USB in the front ports you'll probably end up loading slower than a person playing off a hard drive or a disc. OPL is bound to have a lot of goofy things with loading due to where it's being loaded from.
So here's what I've found. OPL would likely have to be it's own category due to faster loads than Emu and real disc. In my experience it takes my hard drive (Sata modded official network adapter with an HDD) about 10.5-ish seconds to load Maui. On emulator (all versions/regions), in fosteredpancakes' run and hypnoshark's run on real disc it takes the game 13-ish seconds consistently to load Maui.
As far as I can tell, OPL just loads faster than every other version of the game.

I think unlocking all the levels via cheat and then getting directly into doing the wetsuits would be more fun to do because it wouldn't have you having to play the entire career just for tracks.
Doing them during the career would be interesting too but seems like it'd make for a real long run.
Would that include getting the bonus one or just the ones with icons? Because if the swimsuit is included than that would mean needing to beat career still.
I do think it could be something where you just enter the cheat to unlock all courses and then go grab em all.
Might be a fun category and I would prob try it out.
Personally I would like if there were some way that Flipwitch could have speedrun boards, even if not on SRC. I feel like a metroidvania like that is prime to be played fast.
Was that a graphical glitch or did you straight up clip through the barrier at the end?

This would be nice because I would prefer to run IL:s instead of the whole game.
Personal opinion, As far as I can tell the Xbox version is hardly any different. The only thing that really changes is there is one more track.
That is impressive, I'm seeing some stuff I haven't before.
I've mostly only done casual runs so far but from those runs I've gathered that Eriko is just the best character overall. Good adrenaline pool and doesn't crawl around at the start of an unexpected fight. I've tried Kevin or Michele for a level and they just don't seem to be as good as Eriko. Jorg has great Adrenaline but can only be used in one level.
Oh I would be using a SD card replacement for the disc drive but it is a real Dreamcast system I'd run on. I would be able to run on real disc if nessecary though.
