retimed to be around a minute faster than the time you had - GGs stan! Big respect for sticking it out after the tragedies in zoldath & fist hell
GG sio! just in case you're wondering why the RTA for this run is 16 seconds more than the ingame time, there was a patch a while back that made it so that resets (on games that save) don't count towards IGT. most of the old runs on the board happened before that patch so the IGT is accurate for those, but IGT can be a bit misleading on current patch!
I don't think your latest pb should be affected by this much though, the less resets, the smaller the discrepancy :p
retimed to 9:21.300 on vidtimer with start frame 13:52 and end frame 575:10
GG! I'll start learning all devil stars soon lol
retimed to be one frame faster :p sometimes youtube videos default to 30fps in vidtimer which can lead to the time you get being one frame off either way
retimed to 3:45.500 - the 18s difference between IGT and RTA is because of the patch that made resets not count towards IGT. I forgot that was a thing that happened lol
GG Keeny! just as a heads up, I retimed this to 12:16.767 (start frame: 10:01 / end frame: 746:47)
GG! just a heads up, I retimed this to 2:48.917 on vidtimer (start frame 5:19 instead of 5:20). Doesn't really matter of course, just letting you know :p
hey just a heads up, I retimed this to 48.767s, a bit lower than what you got
for the IL RTA times, we start the timer when the player character sprite changes in any way (when you first input an action), and it ends when "YOU HAVE WON!" appears
GG glove!
just a heads up, I retimed it on vidtimer and got an RTA time of 26:40.250 (just in case you were wondering why the time changed).
Start frame: 07:44 ("Theta Sector" appears), end frame: 1607:59 (the first ending 'cutscene' image appears)
hey just so you know, I retimed the real time for this to 11:43.267. It seems in the last patch, ingame time got changed such that time spent resetting doesn't count towards it (whereas in the past, it did).
But real time still includes those resets - just in case you're wondering why the time went up!
retimed to 13:50.733 -- the start cue we use is a bit later than you might have thought! (when the pink cloudy stage appears)
looks like this is what happened: https://www.speedrun.com/puzzle_star_sweep/forums/1eaab
Seems like the video links for your speedruns are broken now tho. Usually you could just re-submit to get them re-verified but idk if they're valid any more. I'm not a mod though, idk if the rules are different for pre-existing runs :p

A few days ago I submitted the Game Boy version of Star Sweep to speedrun.com, and today it got approved! Not sure if anyone else has played it (I didn't even know it existed until recently), but it's actually kinda different.
I submitted a few runs to the leaderboards, if anyone here is interested feel free to go and beat em! :p
hey! I loved this game so much as a kid, I've been getting into speedrunning lately so I decided to try Star Sweep out again. Planning on doing a bunch more speedruns of it :D
Anyways, I just beat the WR in PAL 5 Link Attack Mode. I got 4.1 seconds, while the previous WR was 4.4 seconds. But the submission only lets you enter full seconds... So, if my run gets accepted, it'll be a tie.
I think it would be better if those leaderboards sorted by ingame time, and also measured the decimals instead of just the whole seconds. So that way, every .1 of a second would matter!
What do you think?
