As stated previously, the 3DS Virtual Console are acceptable platforms to run either Glitchless or Manipless on. Any% could possibly work on them but there are no current runs in that category using VC. Their is now a seperate Variable to select when using it so we encourage you to submit any runs to the proper category and variable.

Any other questions would be happily answered in the discord that can be found either at the top of the page, or the top forum thread (and probably a lot faster, too).

Did you read the rules? "The accepted emulator for the GBA games is currently mGBA (only via the standalone client). All other emulators are banned." So feel free to do runs but you cannot submit any of them unless you are using mGBA.

1. Name yourself "ASH" and your rival "GARY"
2. Acquire ONLY the following Pokemon IN ORDER:

   Pikachu Caterpie Pidgeotto Metapod (only by evolution) Butterfree Bulbasaur Charmander Squirtle Krabby Primeape Muk Tauros x29 (yes, you need to catch exactly 29) Charmeleon Charizard Kingler

3. Release Butterfree before catching Primeape
4. Release Primeape before catching Muk
5. Pikachu must always be in your party
6. Defeat the Elite Four
7. Glitches are not allowed
8. Saving and quitting is allowed
9. Timing begins upon selecting "NEW GAME" and ends when the screen fully fades to white after the Hall of Fame in-game time is shown

I think it's a 4 frame window to back out. For reference the TIDs +/- 55785 are as follows (each 4 frames): 01636 / 58825 / 39773 / 07704 / 38120 / target-> 55785 <-target / 64016 / 02890 / 58298 / 38475 / 10749

I can try to explain as best I can. First the TID needed is 55785. To manip for it, I reset my gamecube with Start + X + B and hold A until I get to the white screen before selecting new game, then switch to B. Enter in/out 8 times and wait ~23s on the new game screen. I use a Wsplit timer to track that time. After 23s is up, back in/out another 4 times with the fourth one holding Start instead of A and switching to A at the white screen in between the pic of Ho-Oh flying and the New Game selection. If done correctly it should yield a 55785 TID. Would link a video but Dropbox purged the videos right now or something. I recommend joining PSR discord if you haven't yet there is a lot of information about it in there. There is also a faster way but I am too used to this way to use it.
