Try your best to have audio, but in reality for runs that aren't ranked super high on the leaderboard it really doesn't matter too much.

runs on physical are only allowed to be played on disk, and runs on digital are only allowed to be on WiiU VC via a EU/JP rom since those were the only released versions.

Edit: Playing on a homebrewed console is fine as long as you play on official disk.

There were arguments relating to 480i in the Discord Server, which I am not aware of any software which records this way, however if you are recording in this way it wouldn't really matter. As long as it is not 360p or worse.
