I very recently started speedrunning hollow knight just for some fun (so I've been on whatever most recent patch is) and wanted to use the livesplit timer so I can see my time without load timers etc.,

I had it downloaded yesterday, and it was working fine on the latest patch at the time, but after the most recent patch, it doesn't automatically start the timer anymore (with the autosplitter). I deleted and reinstalled livesplit but it didn't fix it. Do I need to update something with the new game update?
