Massachusetts, USAIn order to maintain a level integrity of our small niche speedrun community, I need to make something clear. Submitting a random IL WR on a non-legacy version of the game with no attempt to engage with the community is not acceptable. Creating a new account on this website in an attempt to verify evade is not acceptable. Making private youtube clips with the absolute bare minimum of video evidence is not acceptable. These are common sense things, but if left unaddressed we are putting our legacy in jeopardy for some rouges who have no real interest in the game or people in the community but instead are just looking for some level of unjustified satisfaction.

Okay I have reviewed the categories and have a couple comments/suggestions/questions. (1) Banning unlockable cars? -First and foremost what was the reasoning behind banning the use of the unlockable teams Medieval and Zone? These are part of the base game and Zone is far and away the best vehicle in the game. Not to cross games, however, that would be similar to saying TT is banned in Diddy Kong Racing because you have to unlock him despite him being the best racer. None of the DLC cars are better than Zone but I could still understand banning those because they aren't included in the base game. Unfortunately banning Zone is just making the run longer for no reason, I need an explanation.
(2) Ambiguous Rules -Second, the rules for the tournament modes do not specify 2 important things which are I guess mutually exclusive; Do you need to win the tournament? or can I just kill myself 4 races in a row? With the way the wording is right now there is nothing that wouldn't stop me from making that conclusion and doing a run that way. You might think that is common sense but rules NEED to be specific otherwise you are opening yourself up to ambiguity. If suicides are allowed It would save minutes to purposely destroy your vehicle to skip races, which the way the rules are worded right now would be allowed. That needs to be cleaned up to specifically say "win the tournament" and "the timer ends on finish line OR self-destruction", that's a pretty easy revision to make but it needs to be made.
(3) Category Clutter -Lastly there are too many categories cluttering up the board. Instead of making EMU it's own category just merge it into one with the option to select which loading method you use. You can still view by platform on the uniform board to see your "defacto" PSP time (looking at the legit PSP leaderbaord I don't think all those runs are on actual hardware anyway) I think it's safe to say EMU loading is going to be the main method with the best runs so having separate categories is redundant. Just make it one category and make the loading methods PSPEMU, PSTV/Vita (That's what I use), or PSP. It would make the board look a lot nicer and easier to read and navigate.
I want to push this game but with the state these boards are in I'm worried about doing full game runs until the rules are more specific and make sense. If you are still looking for a mod, I clearly have some fresh ideas to bring to the table.
I have no complaints/opinions about the IL categories, those are fine to stay the way they are.

you have to play your account up to 150cc, then you get one chance to do an all cups run before you have to return to title screen after every race. Arcade Mario Kart is a pain to run but this game takes it to a new level of inconvenience. IDK if this answers your question;

These are the locations for sucking, you know its the correct spot because the icon on the left will bounce or the screen will flash. You need to suck blood until the icon disappears which seems to be random.

If you are already spending over $500 for a New3DS with a capture card and then buying the game (which is already a somewhat sought after/ uncommon game [$40]) and/or modding their 3DS w/ NTR ; I'd imagine another 15 dollars is not a big deal.

Emulator players shouldn't be more or less encouraged by separate boards. No one is stopping you from running on emu just because there isn't a separate board, hate this argument. If you really care about a game you'll own it legit.
Yeah you can death warp at the end, always happens to me anyway because I suck and die XD. It's a banger game. Not a lot of active runners but I am here if you have runs you'd like to submit :)

I just don't understand the mentality of an inactive mod. If you can't be bothered to check sr.com and verify runs every once and a while, step down. I check this website every day so I hold 0 sympathy for lethargic and apathetic moderators.
I'd like to volunteer for mod-ship. I've done multiple runs and have been playing this since I was 6. But yeah dead game, dead mods.
I just use default, got to be able to aim and shoot ; analog aim + c-button movement is the only way to achieve that.
Maybe some casual runs? The N64 emulation on switch is not great and there are 4 other platforms which all perform better and have better controller support. Added Switch anyway!
No Lag, Better Load times, Cheats, Controller Manipulation, TAS instructions, and the ability to load a modified ROM to name a few.
