So as I understand it, there's no autosplitter for console runs, but the rules also say you can't stop the timer manually. Do I just submit the time that's shown in game at the end of the run?

I did it! I beat the game in under an hour with a time of 53:14.878. Nothing amazing, but I achieved my goal, and that's what matters. Anyway, I'm not sure if I'll try to improve my time just yet, but we'll see.

I missed the cutoff by 55 seconds. That's disappointing, but there were areas where I wasted a lot of time. Namely, I forgot the route I was supposed to take in Chapter 5, and that caused me to stumble around looking for the right place to go (I hadn't played the game for months). I finished with a time of 1:00:55.850. Not great, but it was my first attempt. I could probably get a better time if I remember the route, and maybe make fewer mistakes. Anyway I'll post an update when it happens, and I may even record it and submit it to the leaderboards. If you read all of that, then thank you. I don't really have anything important to say. I just felt like venting a little bit.
