Hope this hasn’t been asked before. I couldn’t find an answered this in the forums already, but I may have just missed the thread. I’m a bit new to speedrunning, so forgive me if I don’t know a lot.

My question: What is the ruling on switching who is player 1 and 2 when doing a 2P run? For example, if I did it with a friend who is really good at being Mario in Bowser’s Kingdom, while I’m better in Luncheon, could we trade controllers between kingdoms? Or do we each have to stick to an assigned character (Cappy or Mario)?
