Hi Wolfram! I don't believe there's a way to get a lower version without homebrew on Switch. 1.2 is not typically viable for good times, mainly because the fanfare skip doesn't work, and some glitches don't work.

Having said that, version 1.2 can still be decent for practicing and getting familiar with the game for most categories, but to get competitive times version 1.0 (or for some categories 1.1 is also fine) is recommended.

For hardware emulators input display hasn't been required. That only applies to software emulators. Perhaps a mod can clarify this in the rules.

The superjump in Millstone Mayhem apparently doesn't work on the PAL/E version. If you run on the U 1.0 or U 1.1 version, it should work.

Actually auto-verification was one of the conditions for many runners to move the leaderboards to speedrun.com. We used to have our leaderboards on a separate website, where anyone could add their times without having them be manually verified. As I mentioned in my previous reply, a huge majority was in favor of not having manual verification and a still sizable majority was in favor of not requiring video proof below the threshold (or above, depending on how you look at it).

Of course any feedback is welcome. If in the future the majority of the community wishes to have manual verification and video proof for all runs the rules can be changed. But until such a vote occurs, it's only fair to go by the wishes of the majority. Unfortunately it's impossible to please everyone.

All times below a certain threshold (34:xx or lower for All Stages) already require video proof. For runs that are not below that threshold, video proof is still recommended but not enforced. This way everyone can do their first runs to check if speedrunning is for them, and post these times without having to worry about collecting all the equipment. This rule was voted on by the community when the leaderboards were moved to SRC, and 65% was in favor.

The majority (80%) of the community also chose to have auto-verification. This way, the burden of checking videos for legitimacy is on the entire community, not just on the mod team.

Hey depressingmeals! You can delete your run yourself. If you go to your run's page while logged in, you should see 3 vertical dots on the right, below where the video would go. If you select those vertical dots, you get the option to delete your own run.
